How to get from Clark Airport to Puerto Galera
In Clark there is a jeepney service that will bring you to the nearest bus station for 50PHP (1$). From where you can catch the local bus to Manila for 140PHP (3$). Or you can choose to take the airport bus, which costs 400PHP (10$).
From Manila, you can reach Puerto Galera, located about 130 km’s south in 3 to 6 hours, depending on the traffic. Arriving on a Sunday is not a bad idea. Batangas is the port where the boat to Mindoro island leaves. The boat ride takes about 1h30. The last boat leaves around 5PM.
Puerto Galera, Sabang and White beach
Puerto Galera is the town in between the two beaches: White beach and Sabang. Known for great diving and girly bars.
Puerto Galera is included as “One of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World” by the Most Beautiful Bay Club. Thanks to its turquoise seas with as background the picturesque mountains.
The diving here is fabulous. A great variety of the most diverse macro diving in the World.
None better than John Fennell, who has been an underwater Photo-/Videographer in Sabang for the past year, to show us what wonders this ocean holds. Discover his best selection of Puerto Galera’s underwaterworld, by clicking on his hairy frogfish picture, on the left.
Verde Island lies right accross. It is one of the World’s most biologically diverse underwater environments. Day trips leave weekly from Sabang. See pictures
The best place to stay at is Blue Ribbon Divers, in Big La Laguna beach.
The name says it all, sign of excellence! The location is perfect: beautiful beach, central to all the dive sites, you even have time to come back for a coffee during surface intervals!
The owners are incredibly attent to the costumers, who end up leaving as friends.
The food is absolutely delicious; especially there theme nights; Indian night, Barbecue night, Thai night; you name it; they master the art of cooking. Quality Food, with a good sense for detail. For the big eaters, its great, because its All you can eat!
This is a place where during a life concert, you end up on stage with the owner singing “Let it be” from the Beatles. This is a place where enjoying life, sharing and the fun and friendly club house dive style life, still means something. Here you can acctually still exchange something more than just money for service. Here, you truely arrive as a client or a student and leave as a friend. Thank you Jon and Kelvin for making our stay in Sabang so rich and cheerful!

Don’t leave PG without hitching a ride to the yellow floating bar! The dingy picks you up on the beach, just give him a good wave and you enjoy a good beer ON the water!
